Day One

First day in the books.  Lifting heavy is much slower and more staid than what I am used to in a normal Crossfit class- running to and fro and throwing weight around and sweating and heaving and and and...

That being said, it was a great experience.  We started way dialed back on weight, which allowed me to explore my form a bit more and really try and feel everything out.  I learned at least one valuable nugget about each lift, and I like the direction the programming is going.  Don't know if Jeremy put me with the gals because I'm short or because I'm weak, but I am definitely both of those, so no harm done there.  Here's the numbers:

Back Squat: 155 X 3 X 5
Press: 95 X 3 X 5
Deadlift: 195 X 1 X 5

Lesson Learned: I have been way to squatty with my deadlift position.  When setting up, using the bar-to-shin contact as a cue to stop my badonkadonks downward descent keeps me in a much more proper and tight starting position.

First Post

Hi.  This blog will serve as my kind of daily log for my work during CFSBK's 2 Month Strength Cycle.  Currently despite a decently rounded CrossFit game I feel that my raw strength numbers are holding me back.  This will be an attempt to outgrow those margins.  Some ballpark figures (subject to change if Jeremy says I'm fucking crazy.)

Squat-300
Deadlift-400
Press-180

Tomorrow is day one.  We will see.
